Dealing with the negativity of the world is a challenge. These days we have COVID, politics, hatred for each other, and so on. It brings me fear, anger, anxiety and stress. But I know the sun comes out tomorrow and I will share how I weather the storm and shift my mindset to take a bad day and turn it into something good by doing… well, anything besides sitting around feeling sad.

Making anything with your own hands keeps you busy, distracts negative thoughts and turns them into something usable. And who needs big pharma when you can make your own? There’s a great pleasure in saying “hey, I made that!” Recently I became obsessed with herbal remedies and I’ve done a ton of research on salves, tinctures, creams and more. And here, I’ll share my favorite handmade goodies with you.

Kitchen therapy. It’s a real thing and recently, has helped occupy my newly found unemployed time. Cooking can be therapeutic. It gives you something rewarding to do, you get to be creative, it keeps you active, it keeps you healthy and at the end of the day, it brings us together at the kitchen table.
